AmiGameJam 2024 prototype for 'The Sequel That Never Was'.
What if there was a Hawkeye sequel?

About
Single level prototype made over a few hours a day in a month.
If I make a full version there would be a boss battle at each level end.

Requirements
This game comes as an .adf/lha file usable on the Amiga (PAL) home computer.
Requires minimum 1MB RAM (512KB/512KB or 1MB).
ROM file in .bin format for Mega Drive / Genesis.

Controls
Joystick Movement
Shoot - Fire 1
Jump - Up/Fire 2
Down - Crouch/Enter active door.
P - Pause
F9 - Reset to titles (if you softlock)

How to play
Explore level for flashing special creatures that will release a key upon death.


Collect crystals for money to buy items in shop.
Touch item to buy.

Active doors have flashing arrow above them.
Four keys to open level exit.

Great platform game that impressively shows what a proper implementation of "Hawkeye" could have looked like. The playability is already excellent, so we can look forward to the final version and hopefully varied levels. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 05:23:22. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

I like it, I was a fan of Enemy (Amiga) and always wanted to have an item store in the game. I see a lot of potential in the game. Maybe they could add a world map to select the levels and the store as a neutral zone. I would be happy about a full version.
